M2E has a major role to play in the exciting possibilities of MEMS (MicroElectroMechanical Systems).
The impending impact of MEMS will be both exciting and far ranging. Potential products will include instruments, innovative materials, sensors, displays, semiconductors, "cleantech" energy to meet the growing needs of the world's economies, innovations that will extend life by diagnosing and treating diseases (including therapies personalized to a specific individuals), as well as the supply of clean water, agricultural productivity enhancements, more powerful information technology and space exploration.
Although the time horizons for these projected innovations vary widely, M2E’s ability to generate power from everyday micro motion will likely play a major role in the eventual success of numerous new products and technologies, not only because of M2E’s ability to provide power to extremely small platforms, but also because M2E is scaleable to a variety form factors and may be conveniently embedded in products of virtually any size and shape.
